See every dollar in and out, day by day. No account, no bank login โ everything stays on your device.
Add by hand: Click + Add Entry, or click any day on the calendar. Pick Spending or Income, enter the amount, done.
Import from your bank (CSV): Log in to your bank's website and go to your account activity or transactions page โ not the Statements page (statements are usually PDF). Look for a small Download or Export link and choose CSV or "spreadsheet." Most banks, including Bank of America and Chase, offer this. Then click ๐ Import Statement here and choose that file โ you can select several at once. Money out shows as spending, money in as income, and re-importing overlapping files won't create duplicates.
Credit card files and PDF statements: Handled by Cash Calendar Pro โ it reads PDFs from banks and credit cards and automatically sorts charges, payments, and refunds.
Backups & moving devices: Your data lives only on this device. Use ๐พ Export for a backup file, and import it on another device to move your history over. Export occasionally โ clearing your browser data erases entries.
Yes. The spending calendar is free โ no signup, no ads, no trial clock. Cash Calendar Pro is an optional one-time upgrade ($7 at launch, $19 regular price) that adds the Subscription Auditor (finds every recurring charge in your statements, its yearly cost, and price increases), a 60-day cash-flow Forecast, PDF and credit-card statement imports, Keep the Receipt (photo receipts with return and warranty deadlines), and a transaction search tool.
By design. Most budget apps ask you to hand over your bank login through a third-party service. Cash Calendar never asks for a bank login or account linking โ you add entries by hand or import a CSV statement you download from your own bank. If you want a budgeting app without bank account linking, that's exactly what this is: a private alternative to bank-linked apps like Mint.
Yes. Your entries are stored only in your own browser, on your own device. There's no server, no account, and nothing is uploaded or tracked โ we couldn't see your data even if we wanted to. Use ๐พ Export to make your own backups.
Every day shows money out in red and money in in green, so you can see your daily spending and income at a glance โ with monthly totals for spending, income, and net underneath. Click any day to view or edit its entries.
Yes โ it runs in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, and mobile, with nothing to install. Data is saved per device, so use Export and Import to move your history between devices.
Penny is a cartoon. Her voice is generated. The advice is real โ and so am I. I'm just not putting my face on the internet to prove it.
That isn't evasion; it's the whole idea. I built Cash Calendar because I was tired of money apps that wanted my bank login, my contacts, my location, and my data. I'm not going to turn around and hand the algorithm my face, my house, and my breakfast either. Privacy isn't a feature I added. It's the point.
So here's the deal. Penny says the things I'd say โ she's inspired by my mother, who is still glamorous, great with money, and funnier than either of us. Every tip is one I actually use or approve. Every claim about the app is checkable, because it runs entirely on your own device and you can verify that yourself. You never have to trust a face. You just have to look at the math.
If you want money advice from someone who films their kitchen every morning, there are thousands of them. If you want a private tool and a grandma who tells you the truth, welcome home. I'm a real person, and support@cashcalendar.app reaches me.
